Renato Fernandez is one of the most celebrated brazilian creatives, with two campaigns featured in the list of the highest awarded in The Gunn Report and at the top of the list of best art directors from the Luerzer’s Archive. Renato is an Creative Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day since november of 2012, and has won a Great Art Direction Award at FIAP, 14 Lions (2 Golds) and awards in practically every important international festival, such as D&AD, the Clio Awards, London International Awards, and The One Show, amongst others. Renato started his career at Exclam and Master, two big agencies from a small market, Curitiba, in the south of Brazil. Later, he moved to São Paulo and worked 11 years at AlmapBBDO, helping the agency to become two times the agency of the year at Cannes. As a hobby, he used to teach Art Direction, but nowadays he tries to learn how to play the guitar and tennis. In Brazil he created campaigns for brands such as Havaianas, Volkswagen and Audi. In Los Angeles he is in charge of wordwide campaigns for Gatorade, Visa, Pepsi and a new client he just helped to bring to the agency, Adidas. He was a jury member of Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, AICP Next Awards and many other international festivals.
